I may be alone here but…
Unless you live in a fringe area where the signal is weak, I don’t see a problem using an “old fashioned” antenna.
I’ve helped several family members and friends set up antennas with good results using both indoor and outdoor antennas.
There are even devices out there that will let you stream the signal from your antenna to any tv in your home using an app.
HD homerun, Plex, Tablo are great options for this and even give you DVR capabilities.
The best part is, being able to get rid of or trim your expensive tv package that you only have so you can watch regional sports.
