This literally happened a month ago.

Alpha is really doing some serious cost cutting in this area. WXLC literally has almost no local employees anymore. Nobody local on the air. WIIL's morning co-host basically voice tracks middays. Rest is all from Joliet and Woodstock.

The cost cutting at WXLC was so much that it's studio was swapped with WIIL. The WXLC studio was built as a showcase studio in the mall. The flood that knocked the station off the air was the main reason they were given a bunch of money from both the village and the mall itself to built their studios there, so WXLC got the big showcase studio. Now that nobody is in that one anymore, WIIL was put in there.

None of the stations have a local PD anymore now.
