Link: September PPM Nielsen Ratings
I'm going to attempt to furnish a working link so it can be seen. I thank the moderators in advance should the link prove ineffective.
Some notes:
I'm too familiar with WLS 890 so I'm unclear as to why they fall so far behind WGN 710.
It won't be too long until WLIT-FM begins their all-Christmas programming with its usual tight playlist. A lot of revenue coming into that iHeartMedia station.
WTMX-FM is still in the game but has lost some of its former glory.
WXRT-FM is like a reliable BMW. It can handle anything you throw at it.
Interesting to see WLS-FM with their somewhat strange playlist handily rise above WRME-FM 87.7.
This might be the result of one or two PPM families being away, etc. Dare I say it? I hope none have died off.
If both WKSC-FM 103.5 and WBBM-FM 96.3 are largely playing the same hits, why is B96 continually in the shadows? Are that station's DJs simply too old for the format? Too much automation? I have no idea.
Our resident experts of WYTZFMZ95 and Jeremy Andrews will likely have the inside track.
How long has it been since WCHI-FM 95.5 has hit Chicago airwaves? Almost two years? At any rate, their ratings just may be deceiving. If this station bills well enough and hits its demos, it might continue. One or two poor showings does not doom a station. I have examined their playlists and I note artists and titles are rotated in and out.
Finally, WSHE-FM 100.3 and their latest musical adjustment may not have gained any traction yet.
As always, thank you for this forum. Everyone please keep safe.
