So, on Wednesday afternoon, yesterday, I walk into this larger bathroom, half way through the work-day because I wanted to fill-up my water bottle at the water fountain there and also because I wanted to get some workout shorts and a towel that I left behind in my locker late last week.
When walking in, I see and hear two employees who I had not seen for nearly two months because of the eight-week work closure, who I did not see last week when we got called back for work. I hear one of the guys (Kenneth) ask the other “Hey man, I see you are not bald yet?” And David responds “Nah, had no time. I had worked too much at my other job, essential worker, you know.”
They chat more, as I pretend to not to hear them as I claim my belongings in my locker and get my water. They talk about what they had been doing during this time-off, other than David speaking about working his second job (part-time grocery store worker).
Kenneth brings up the head-shaving since David always shaves his head bald around this time of year. He has done this for about four or five years now, for as long as I knew him even when he began work at a different department farther from where we all work now in this large production plant. He grows his hair out from when he last shaves his head around September, and then come late May he is ready to take off his messy winter hair mop that he rarely styles. Despite being around 28 years old with dark brown hair and occasional glasses, David looks like UK prime minister Boris Johnson, as they both have longer unkept hair like in this Boris Johnson photo link.

I don't see how any guy can put up with messy hair as David and Boris. I see it at work, David lets his hair grow but its not long enough for a "man bun" or ponytail with only six or seven months when he has hair, so he just lets it look like how Boris looks, only to then shave bald again in May. Its the same routine each year.
Many compare Boris Johnson to Donald Trump, another Conservative blonde leader who likes to bash the media while using it to promote crazy things and mistruths. Both have wild looking hair, but at least our president combs and styles his hair in his famed trademark Trump style, and all of it is his real hair, not a hair-piece as late night tv show host Jimmy Fallon found out in January of 2016:
I got the feeling David is about to get his head shaved very soon as he said “one of these days” when he talked with Kenneth, who was equally surprised as I was to see David in the bathroom/locker-room with his longer hair. I have never wrote down (taken notes)of previous times he came to work in May with a shaved head, but he is a bit late this year. Unless he plans to do it on a work day, its likely he will shave bald this weekend or Monday since our department does not return to work until next Tuesday, June 2nd.
I am curious to know how to approach David now that he has not yet shaved his head, but is very soon to do it, so that I could either watch it happen at the barbershop or ask if he (or me) could take pictures or a video recording of when he has his hair shorn off to be shaved for the summer.
Any thoughts or ideas of how to approach the matter? Is it best to wait until we “happen” to be together in the bathroom or when we are outside leaving work at the same time? He comes across as a “Who cares about hair?” kind of guy, and he is nice to speak with from past casual conversations I've had with him, only when at work. Yet I am sort of nervous as to how to approach the matter with him---to ask when he will shave bald and where, and how can I watch or get the transformation photographed or video recorded.
I have always wanted to ask him nearly each year before he shaves bald, but then I forget. Then one day he comes back to work suddenly with a shaven head. I always think “Damn, I wished I would have known before he shaved bald!!”
I am quite certain when he has been previously asked, I have heard him say that he gets the initial head-shearing summer haircut at the barber, and then often he razor shaves it right down bald several times per month all during the summer. Severe buzzcut or total shaved, either way he is hot. I can barely work (let alone hide my erection, lol) at times when he happens to be in my area of our large department while at work with a shaven head or severe stubble buzzed appearance.
I would give you his full name so you can look him up on Facebook, as he has pictures of him with hair and when bald (but mostly its bald with a bandanna or baseball cap on, darn!), but I would not want to have him know that I am posting here about him, in case he or someone shows him this posting. He would know its me since we had only 15 guys back at work yesterday and it was only me and Kenneth with him in the bathroom/locker-room.
I am just so happy to have gone into the locker-room just seconds after I saw Kenneth walk in, for me to hear him react to seeing David with hair still, an then to then hear both briefly talk about David's impending and expected summer shave from his current messy long hair.
Long post here, however I am just hoping for “approach” ideas. Has any one experienced a similar situation of a friend or co-worker who goes from hair of any length down to a severe buzzcut or total head-shave on a yearly basis as David? Any thought of joining that guy to watch or even get a haircut with him? Tell more. And while its probably not extremely rare, any idea why guys would go from long hair to a major transformation of bald or near shaved head appearance, other than lost bets or arriving for Marine Corps boot training?? Is it the look, feel or the shock factor of doing it so severe from longer length hair?

BuzzLife administration and Boardhost accept no liability whatsoever by posts, ideas, opinions, links to external sources, videos, to name a few among the vast amount of content that could be contained in said posts. Therefore, you post it, whatever it may be, you’re responsible for it. Enough said.

This is designed for male haircutting, and males should be the subject of the haircut. Females should not be the subject of the haircut in posts, photos, and discussions, however, females are free to join and discuss our common interests.
No sexual posts allowed. No political posts allowed.
In terms of common sense, do not post replies to such videos or photos saying things like “sexy handsome man without hair” or “better ####ing shave it next time” or any other suggestive or inappropriate comments. This only does many things. It makes the user remove the video due to being “creeped out” by said comments, look to see where the user found their video (and can see terms searched, such as headshaving, male haircut, and even links from this board). It only brings out a negative view of our community and makes us more noticeable, rather than keeping it quiet. Keeping it quiet is best, it allows us to continue sharing content without people starting to think “will I get creepy people send me stuff”. To sum it up, don’t be a creep on other people’s videos. Saying you look good such as “nice haircut” is acceptable; saying “you look sexy handsome with that new haircut :-*” is unacceptable. I cannot control what you post on other websites, but please keep your true comments to yourself, or as we often see, “This video has been removed by the user” will pop up. Please use proper judgment to keep the videos posted public for all to see and enjoy.
In addition, please try to do your best to provide reference to what content is being presented. The internet is wide, I understand that. But if you are going to post a YouTube link, write a quick thing next to the link (moptop shorn) or reference where you got an image from (i.e., post a link and the image) so we can see it easier if there is problem. Only goes to help us out more!
Be civil on the board. We’re all grown mature (hopefully) men. Let’s keep it mature and civil on here.
