In the past I used to break numbers of tiny parts... until I found last March THE solution which saved my life... although rather expensive.
I bought an ultrasonic cutter ($200-250 on A--zon, yes, expensive but sooooo valuable).
After a period of training of roughly 10 minutes I can now cut everything without damaging the parts, even those [censored] 1:700 aircraft from l'Arsenal, their first batch with landing gear attached.
I got another ultrasonic cutter for a friend who obtained the same results from the start too, so this wasn't only me.
Yes, I spent the equivalent of three kits at once, but what a miracle! My modeling life has now changed for ever and for good!
Ultrasonic cutter works perfectly fine for 3D acrylic resin, cast PU resin, injected plastic, PE (up to .2mm), Evergreen sheets and rods, and wood up to 2mm.
