Never heard of this, I do know that GM proportioning valves will stick and cause no fluid movement to the rear. The fix for this is to leave a rear bleader open and smash the pedal till the pressure drops like a line broke. This is a sign the prop valve opened to the rear, and will now let you bleed the rears normally. Never heard of hitting the firewall for anything other then a very bent firewall and I've seen that on power brake cars as well.
