The upside is your washer/dryer combo! I bet you will love having it upstairs! Can I ask what kind you got? Mine is going on ten. LG front loader that really stinks and has to be bleached constantly, and a newer whirlpool dryer, a cheapie but it hasn't done a bad job at all.
Steve managed to get the AC working hopefully for the rest of the summer. It shakes, rattles and rolls but it is an old frame with a new motor, blades and capacitor. He took the old stuff to his favorite electric motor place and they got him new stuff for under $300 bucks. It was basically the bad capacitor but they said the motor and blades should be changed too. Sure beats having to pay $6000 plus for new central air! Next year we hope to replace that.
