With AC units so many people are told they need entire new units costing thousands when it is usually only the capacitor or motor. It is an old unit but this should keep us going for awhile,thanks to a good friend at the electric motor place who told us to try this first. We had no idea. He had Steve take them out and bring them in so he could check them. The capacitor looks like a long tin can. Ours was all rusty and burned. The new one was under $100 bucks. Isn't that something? If yours goes bad and T could take it out to get it checked you could maybe get by with the same thing.
