Hi all! Happy New Year ! The end of December started out weird for me. I was hoping to go part-time with my job in January but they said I am not needed. So after over 9 years, I will be retiring at the end of January. They are providing a 5 month severance, which is very generous. I will take some time to figure out what I want to do. I don’t know if I want to work any more. Possibly , I will do some volunteer work. This all happened less than a week before my 65th birthday.

My sister has now put on hospice and has been given only weeks to months. I am trying to figure out how to go see her. I have issues with altitude there. My hubby can’t go with me. If I go it will be a difficult trip. I also have health issues where I need to limit my exposure to illnesses .

Gracie is getting older. Almost 16! She is a challenge right now but I am use to navigating that. Not sure my hubby has the patience. And there is the wild child, DJ. . We could not board Gracie if we wanted to . We might add a little girl later this year. DJ needs a playmate.

I think about you all often.
