Probbly gonna show my a$$ there today. He's STILL covered in a rash from head to toe. Looks like the world's worst sunburn. And his stupid freakin' oncologist there won't give him an appt. I'm gonna go full redneck today because this is b.s. If it's an allergic reaction, it's dangerous as heck. If it's a systemic reaction, it's dangerous as heck. WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT. His feet are MAROON RED at this point!!! What's next?!?!?!?!?!?
Thanksgiving was pretty good. Kate & Matt did most of the cooking. I did deviled eggs & jam cake. T & Meg did a corn casserole. Owen was a holy terror. If he doesn't get his way, he screams and throws things and throws an unholy fit until Kate & Matt let him have his way.....
Friday, T & Meg helped out with stuff here at the house and Meg & I went Christmas shopping in town. She was impressed by our little small town & bought a BUNCH of presents for her family. I blew the budget at the olive oil/balsamic vinegar bar again. Picked up butter flavored olive oil and fig flavored balsamic (for a pork glaze) and peach flavored balsamic (to mix with iced tea) for me and bought 4 different varieties of oil for Meg since pasta is her primary food source.
Friday, everyone was here at the hosue for a big family breakfast (cooked by T & Meg) and then all the kids put out our big wood nativity & Chris-mooses in the yard and put up our Christmas tree in the living room. I thought T and John were going to throw Owen out a window - he was completley out of control. Kate & Matt got into a big fight over his behaviour. Matt trying to reel him in and make him behave and Kate making excuses and telling Matt that he needed to be "nicer" to Owen. It got ugly.
Whew.
And yesterday I ran myself ragged trying to get laundry done, the house cleaned up, bills paid, paperwork caught up, etc.
And back to the grind today... Not sure how long we'll be at UK but I've gotta get to a grocery store when we get back to town & I can drop John off at the house. We're out of just about all of our staples (bread, eggs, milk, cheese....)
Oh and Sebastian got the staples out of his foot Saturday morning so we took the e-collar off. And the big butthead promptly went after the spot higher on his leg again. He's back in the hood again. I'm wondering if he's ever going to leave it alone long enough to heal!!!!!
