Hubby takes a half of a 65mg iron pill a couple of days before he gives blood. It has to be at least 12.5 to give and he has come up around 11 and can't give when it is that low. The iron raises it to just over what he needs to give. One of the nurses there suggested that. I just wondered it might be an option for J. I hope you can find something that can help.
