Here’s a great example of how the typical Trump supporter acts when confronted with a reality they can’t deny.

Weeks before Donald Trump ever invaded Venezuela, I told one of my Trump-supporting friends — who supported his attacks on alleged drug boats because he’s very anti-drug, having lost a couple of friends and family members to overdoses — that while I sympathized with his view, this president’s stance on Venezuela isn’t about drugs; it’s about oil.

He disagreed and said, “We’ll see.”
Then, the other day, shortly after I woke up to the news that Trump had finally followed through on the worst-kept secret in the world (other than how often his name appears in the Epstein files) — that he had ordered an attack on Venezuela and the removal of its leader — I posted a message reiterating my stance that this was never about drugs; it was about oil.

My Trump-supporting friend ended up texting me, once again pushing back on my stance and claiming he’d need to do more research, but adding, “We’ll see.”

Well, we’re now several days removed from Trump’s invasion of Venezuela, and while they’ve thrown around the phrase “narco-terrorism” a few times, it’s undeniable that the main talking point Trump has emphasized since all this went down was — wait for it — Venezuela’s oil.

From Trump admitting that he briefed big oil executives prior to the attack (but not Congress), to this president’s repeated statements about how much money will be made from Venezuela’s oil reserves, it’s very clear that this has all been about oil, just as most of us already knew.

That said, I haven’t heard from my Trump-supporting friend. From “We’ll see” to silence. Not a “Looks like you might have been right,” or a “He seems to be mentioning oil a lot.”

I’ve heard nothing.
Because there’s nothing he can say — Trump’s own words have proven this wasn’t about drugs.
Never mind the indisputable statistics showing that Venezuela isn’t a major producer of cocaine or fentanyl, or the fact that Trump just pardoned a former Latin American leader for his role in smuggling 400 tons of cocaine into the United States — those facts have largely been ignored by Trump supporters like my friend.
Trump said this was about drugs, and that’s what they believed.
Except it’s now clear, based on what we’ve all heard from this administration over the past few days, that this was about oil.
It’s always been about oil.
So this is what we’re dealing with, folks: people who go completely silent whenever they’re confronted with a reality that contradicts something they chose to believe.

And here’s the worst part — I’m sure once I do hear back from my friend, despite his stated position that he doesn’t support regime change and doesn’t believe we should invade countries over oil (his words, not mine), he’ll have an excuse.
Suddenly, he’ll be okay with this regime change.

Magically, he’ll find a way to justify why invading this country for its oil makes sense.
That’s how MAGA works. They make bold, unapologetic statements. Then, when reality completely contradicts them, they move the goalposts, change their rhetoric, and make excuses for their orange leader.

All while claiming we have Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Except that’s exactly what they have. As usual, their accusations are nothing more than projection — a group of people so deranged in their loyalty to Trump that they’ve abandoned any sense of principles or values. The only thing they believe in now is whatever Donald Trump says.

Just to be clear, no American, Democrat or otherwise is defending Maduro. He deserved to be brought to justice. Our military performed as expected.

There are a lot of unknowns about moving forward and a lot of questions about how Trump is "going to run" the country as well as his next target.

Renee and her partner were not out there serving public good. They were both paid agitators trying to make a viral video.

Law abiding people know to respect an officer’s direction. Many times these directions are to protect that individual, plus de-escalate a situation. She was told to get out of the car. Twice!

What, pray tell did she have to fear? Were they going to skin her alive or something? Was she under the influence? Have open beer containers? Was she in possession of illegal drugs?

She had parked her car perpendicular on a two lane residential street blocking a lane of traffic. Specifically, slowing the flow of traffic and blocking armed federal agents of the law. Her partner was outside the vehicle to video the mayhem. Renee was blowing her horn and gleefully trying to car dance to the rhythm of her own horn - via video captured from across the street.

In case you didn’t know, that action was purposely obstructing a federal operation, plus ignoring a lawfully given order. She made her choice. She was no longer just a sweet mother of three playing harmless “cat and mouse” games with armed federal agents! She became a criminal in control of a 2000# plus weapon.

You are basically expecting these agents to assume “good intentions” from someone obviously prior, showing none.

Further, the only thing that slowed that vehicle down as she goosed it was the left tire spinning on ice (observed and noted by video analysis) and the increase in exhaust fumes when she accelerated (observed and noted by video frame by frame video analysis).

One agent was trying to unlock the car door, while the other was in movement around the front of the car, both hearing the revving of her vehicle.

“Drive baby, drive” by her partner was recorded, eye contact was made with the agent by Renee, agent positioned at the left bumper with weapon drawn. The car went forward, clipping the agent. Impact caused his body to bend at the waist (Law of Inertia) agents right foot solidly planted left side of vehicle allowed his body weight to slide around the vehicle’s left side (mild physics).

De-escalate? The officers did nothing to do that. She was waving cars around her at the point they ran up to her vehicle, yelled at her to get the f&ck out, tried to open her door, reached into the car. At the same time, Ross is circling the vehicle, filming as well, he shot a clear pic of her license plate. He walked to the front of the car, breaking protocol for any law enforcement officer, you don't stand in front of a running vehicle. She was being given conflicting orders by the other officers, including "leave". When she did decide to leave, Ross was standing at the left front of her vehicle, she clearly turned her wheels all the way to the right of him, giving him plenty of time to get out of the way, she slowly moved forward and, at worst, the car bumped him, if it did he wanted it to because he had more than enough time to step out of the way. He never fell to the ground, he fired one shot through the windshield and then two more from the side of the vehicle, through her open window. He killed her for no reason other than she disobeyed the order to get out of the car.

The only thing she did wrong was refused to get out of the car. Shooting her in her body and head was in no way justified.

Spin it your way, Blu. I would say we will see what the investigation turns up, but I believe the "Dept of Injustice" has already made their determination. He will probably never be held accountable or this murder. I hope that her family files a wrongful death lawsuit and gets some kind of Justice.

"Internal Bleeding" - vague enough to lead people to believe it was life threatening, but it could also be a bruise, lol. He was treated and released the same day.

Refusing to get out of her vehicle should not have resulted in a death sentence.

LOL - your completely biased interpretation. If what you say is even remotely true... once he was at the side of the vehicle, he was no longer in danger and had no legal reason to fire 2 more shots, killing her.

Your frame by frame video analysis is subjective, there are plenty of opposing views by current and former members of law enforcement.

Your sympathy for her child is heartwarming.

Jonathon Ross had no reason to kill her. It doesn't matter what you think of her and her wife, whether you agree or disagree with her methods of protest. His life was not in danger.

Ross was not justified in killing her. She pissed him off, he yelled "f&cking bitch" as her car drove away with her body mortally wounded. He left the scene without any investigation.

If this had been a police officer instead of an ICE agent, given the same "crime" she committed he would be removed from duty and fully investigated.

Noem has stated they have no reason to investigate Ross. It's wrong. An American citizen killed by an out of control ICE officer for not obeying his order... not an order to "drop the gun", she didn't have one.

This woman freely chose to interfere AND escalate a situation involving armed federal agents.

You are trying to convey that her moving vehicle was not a lethal threat to the agents.

Pray tell, what was the immediate lethal threat to her causing her to flee easily endangering or harming the federal agents?

Criminal charges
Lawyer fees
Court costs

Jail time

Nope.

The sad part is, the agents would have probably detained her and given her no other alternative other than leave that area immediately.

The video clearly shows that Renee never drove toward him..she was driving away and it pissed him off and he killed her..that is called murder.
