This is sure to spark some conversation. I know Trump issued an order stating a man and a woman are the only 2 sexes. While that will put a halt to any federal money being spent on trans issues and many who feel Trump is some kind of God, it doesn't really "make them go away"
I think it's fair to say a lot of narrow minded folks can't accept anyone who doesn't look like or act like themselves. Racism, homophobia, transphobia are all rooted in that self centered notion.
I do have a problem with shared locker rooms, showers etc, ya know where people get naked.
What I don't understand is the bathroom issue. There are probably women everyday who have shared a work or public bathroom with a trans man and never know it. Pretty sure they have stalls and no one walks around with the lower half of their body exposed. A trans woman is likely to be on female hormones, have breasts and looks more like a woman than some biological women. There are female to male transgender people too ya know. They would be on male hormones, likely have had their breasts removed, but still have a vagina, so basically a dude with a vagina. If they use the mens room, they are likely to use a stall, because a urinal just wouldn't work.
Here's my bottom line question... wouldn't it cause more discomfort and shock to have a female to male trans (looks like a man, has a vagina) to use the women's bathroom vs the mens and vice versa... a male to female trans walks into the men's room in a dress and boobs.
Trans people are suddenly going to disappear and they have to pee and poop like everyone else. I've noticed a lot of public places no longer have men's and women's designated restrooms, you can use either one and they have locks on the doors. Good compromise and it allows for less waiting if need be.

I have no issue with people choosing to be what they think they are. I too don't want them in my daughter's locker room. I think restrooms deserve that privacy as well.
Dress as you want to. Sleep with who you want to. Pretend to be who you want to be. Just don't expect me and others to change pronouns and language to suit your lifestyle. If I see a man in a dress with a beard, I'm going to say hello sir. If I see someone like the former cabinet member Levine, it's clear to me he pretends to be a woman and I won't address him as such. I would probably just not speak.
I don't ask people to call me sir, Mr. or any other pronoun. Don't expect it of me.Promises Made, Promises Kept! Republicans stood, the liberal left wept.
Both of you fellows summed up my feeling on this issue. The privacy in all restrooms is what I agree is the solution to the restroom issue. Locker rooms should also be made more private.
Opi - just a clarification, one that you are probably aware of, but others on here may not be.
This is in reference to the person with a beard and a dress on... there is a big difference between someone who is transgender and someone who is a cross dresser, not that anything is wrong with either, they are just different.
I have a beard and I may or may not have pics of me wearing a mini skirt and some kinda bra like top, oh a wig too... no makeup tho, I prefer the natural beauty look. It was, of course, a halloween party and there is no mistaking my build for a man so it was all in good fun.
Of course opi, that's simple common sense. I didn't oppose gay marriage, but I knew gay marriage would open things up for every freakshow in the universe, and it did.
Someone can have sex with their neighbor's picnic table if they want whatever gender the table is and I don't care. Just don't push that lunacy on me, and don't take it to the schools to screw up the kids.Good idea having the Doc take the fifth, now Democrats can get back to assaulting feds. At some point an agent will be killed, maybe at that point it will be open season on those leftist animals.
In most commercial places, family restrooms are now offered which as well would give trans people a place to take care of their personal needs.
While a person who has fully switched teams and wears the new equipment and uniform, I may be more lenient. A person who identifies as a woman but is still a physical man, doesn't get my tolerance as easily. He identifies as someone who is looking to get knocked out if he goes in the restroom with my daughter. Promises Made, Promises Kept! Republicans stood, the liberal left wept.
Opi - I believe most people who consider themselves Trans are at least starting to transition. I remember seeing video of Bruce Jenner before anyone knew he was going to become Caitlin and I thought for someone who was always athletic that he looked like he was starting to get "man boobs" yet he wasn't overweight. I would imagine that Bruce, in the initial stages of transitioning still used the men's room, I would imagine now Caitlin uses the women's room.
Trump in 2016 criticized a North Carolina law that required trans people to use the bathroom based on the gender on their birth certificate. He even told Caitlin Jenner she could use any bathroom she wanted at Trump Tower.
I think anyone who is obviously a physical man wants to go to the bathroom with your daughter get him to swing on you first, then knock him out so you don't get charged, lol.
No one is pushing anything on you and nothing gay or trans related in school is "screwing kids up".
One of Trump's most outrageous lies was that parents were sending their little boy off to school and without their permission, they were changing his sex and a little girl comes home. He said that on several occasions and a lot of morons believed it.
The gay, trans, and drag-queen cultures are sub-cultures. A lot of people believe they are sub-cultures comprised to some significant degree of people with untreated psychological trauma which manifests as peculiar some might say perverse sexual fetishes. I'm not sure I would go that far, but I don't want that culture anywhere near gullible young children. Many parents want to insulate their children from things that might be dangerous. Those parents are not irrational for feeling that way.Good idea having the Doc take the fifth, now Democrats can get back to assaulting feds. I guess they better home school them. If they fear a gay or trans teacher who is behaving as any teacher would, I think that is an irrational fear based in ignorance.
You wouldn't want your young children anywhere around a gay teacher, uncle, any relative?
I'm fairly certain I didn't say anything like that. If a gay or even trans teacher is actually dialed in on teaching the 3 R's and not trying to convert and or pervert the student's sexuality, that works for me. Some cons will believe I'm too flexible in that way of thinking, but I think it's a reasonable position. As for homeschooling, I 100% think homeschooling is the way to go and would encourage anyone that can do that that they should.Good idea having the Doc take the fifth, now Democrats can get back to assaulting feds. At some point an agent will be killed, maybe at that point it will be open season on those leftist animals.
There is no reason to think a gay or trans person would try to convert or pervert the students sexuality, it's probably more likely and prevalent for a male heterosexual teacher to target a female student.
We have no plans to home school our kids, I want them to be prepared for the real world, well socialized, have access to sports, clubs, vocational options etc. That's not to say we won't fill in the gaps with some at home learning as well.
And there have been proven cases here and across the country of straight teachers taking advantage of their students both male and female.Promises Made, Promises Kept! Republicans stood, the liberal left wept.
