The Colorado Springs shooter was identified as non-binary.
The Denver shooter was identified as trans.
The Aberdeen shooter was identified as trans.
The Nashville shooter was identified as trans.
Now we’ve learned the Georgia shooter was motivated by trans activism.
Does anyone notice a trend here??

Good idea having the Doc take the fifth, now Democrats can get back to assaulting feds. At some point an agent will be killed, maybe at that point it will be open season on those leftist animals.

Agree Soccer. Liberals also need to stop blaming shootings on the NRA and Trump as well.

Shooters are sick, depraved, psychopaths that should be put down like a dangerous dog. The mother in Georgia warned the school that morning. The FBI questioned the father a year ago. Why was this maniac roaming the streets? These deaths were avoidable.

Agree with your view of the shooters.

I also think there is a need for common sense gun regulations that are enforced nationwide and, in that instance, I do blame the NRA. There is bipartisan support for gun regulations, only 7 percent of gun owners belong to the NRA, but they call the shots and politicians are afraid to go against their will.

They won't solve the issue of mass shootings, but may prevent some from happening. It should not be so easy to buy a deadly weapon.

I know all the arguments against this, probably perpetuated by the NRA.... criminals will get them illegally, we have laws now that are not enforced etc. Not good enough.

NRA and some Republicans need to stop perpetuating the myth that "they" want to take away your rights to own a gun and "they are coming to confiscate your guns" With rights come responsibility and there is nothing wrong with regulations to keep guns out of dangerous hands.

Blu - I don't personally know any transgender kids. I think it's not a stretch to say there have always been kids who struggled with what gender they felt they really were and their sexual orientation. It's not a fad, it's just recognized.

Also, no expert here on this, but if a kid is struggling with this they are probably not carefree kids and feel there is something wrong with them. I wish we knew how many young people may have taken their own lives because of this..

Do you really think a parent and a child would go through all that's involved in transitioning. Medical tests, psychological test, surgery etc.? What would be their motivation if it wasn't truly needed.

Another question is... why do people not effected by this care so much about it. Can we not accept that not everyone is the same? If a kid and their parents and their doctors, psychiatrists, decide this is whats best for their child, why do we care?

We do have laws now. I had to register all my guns, and I had to take certification classes to carry.

I'm sure the murderers in Chicago and St. Louis do as well.

Remember, it was Joe who said take your shotgun out on the deck and fire off two rounds to scare the bad guys. Yep, only problem Joe is that buckshot falls back to earth and the bad guy is carrying a 12 round magazine and can count to two to known your double barrel is now empty.

Soccer, my big question is, why didn't Barrack enact the toughest gun control when he had congressional support in 2007?

Good gun owners will sign up all day for controls and registering and probably even a three-day waiting period for guns sold at a show. And common-sense gun owners know the government never will have the ability to take our guns. That's just a scare tactic as you say.

Opinionated - I can't answer the Obama question, to be honest... if I do some research and come up with an educated opinion on that I'll let you know.

I understand the need to protect ourselves. My wife and I have done the same things as you have to be gun owners. Not everyone does and the biggest loophole are gun sellers that don't follow the rules and the lack of universal background checks and gun show loopholes. There is no reason a law cannot be passed and measures taken to enforce them and hold people accountable if they break the law.

Importantly, if these laws are enacted, they need to be enforced and real consequences faced by those that break the law.

Law enforcement has to do their job. When Illinois enacted the ban on assault weapons, the law stated that those that already owned such a weapon could keep them, but they had to be registered with the state, otherwise they could face criminal penalties. No big deal, we all register our cars, our dogs for rabies, it's the law.

The last figure I saw stated about 52,000 Illinois residents had registered their weapon. Unfortunately, the majority of Sheriffs in Illinois have publicly stated they will not enforce the law.

Not their decision, they don't get to pick and choose what laws they enforce. Now, we all know law enforcement sometimes has to choose what laws they enforce based on a variety of factors, but to come out and publicly state this is irresponsible and they should be fired. They are law enforcement officers, they don't get to make the law.

Once again Joe post his Transphobia.
What Joe conveniently did not post is that there have been 2,861 mass shootings since 2018. 1.3% by trans persons and 97.7% by non trans persons. Somehow in Joes world we should all be concerned about the 1.3% but not so much by the 97.7%.

Soccer and Opi, I agree with both of you on the gun control issue. We need more universal checks of those who are already on the radar. When this latest shooter moved he got lost in the system. That has got to change.

Hard telling how many real mass shootings we have had not that I put much stock in your numbers. But for whatever reason the MSM only seems to be concerned with the ones that they can push their gun-grab narrative on. 50 people were killed in one weekend in Chicago, no big deal, those deaths are acceptable, and besides the shooters used the wrong damn guns most of the time.

LOL, that's funny. Every time some psycho shoots up a school or a mall, the leftist politicians race to the podium to yap about gun bans. Then they wait and see if the shooter's demographic matches up with the agenda they want to be pushed before they decide if they want to promote the gun's bad angle or the, hey look, the shooter's grandfather's neighbor voted for Trump. Notice the Nashville shooter's manifesto just now came out. Had that been a straight Trump supporter that manifesto would have been leaked in 48 hours.

Joe - are you too dense to recognize the difference between a ban on a specific type of gun vs. the government confiscating everyone's guns?

"Gun grabbing" and "Gun Confiscation" are buzz words that some on the right use as, big surprise, a scare tactic. Of course, that rhetoric is probably started by the NRA.

JD Vance said school shootings are a fact of life.

I don't recall a bunch of Dem politicians rushing to the podium to confiscate guns after the most recent shootings. You'd probably be more likely to see that from a parent or family member of someone who lost their life.
