I also think there is a need for common sense gun regulations that are enforced nationwide and, in that instance, I do blame the NRA. There is bipartisan support for gun regulations, only 7 percent of gun owners belong to the NRA, but they call the shots and politicians are afraid to go against their will.
They won't solve the issue of mass shootings, but may prevent some from happening. It should not be so easy to buy a deadly weapon.
I know all the arguments against this, probably perpetuated by the NRA.... criminals will get them illegally, we have laws now that are not enforced etc. Not good enough.
NRA and some Republicans need to stop perpetuating the myth that "they" want to take away your rights to own a gun and "they are coming to confiscate your guns" With rights come responsibility and there is nothing wrong with regulations to keep guns out of dangerous hands.
