It's disappointing when you have tried to keep it local even before it was cool, and one of those businesses you have supported has decided to move on from Granite City.
Ravanelli's joins Hudson's and Glick's as local companies I tried to support that have abandoned the city that made them who they are to move their operations elsewhere. I know Glick's only moved their corp office and they still have a store. But their GC location is looking pretty dismal and I'm guessing it's just a matter of time...
Anyway, I've been here all of my 65 years supporting local, but now that those businesses have decided they're not suited to Granite anymore I'll skip going to their new location.
