I just hope the voters participate the way they did in the November election.

    Otherwise, it's all for naught.

It is very easy to get voter information in Madison County. It could negate a lot of claims made on how people vote.

Like the dimwit that keeps saying that the Mayor depends on people on welfare to vote for him while he keeps the foodstamps coming.

Of course the Mayor has no control....and if you go to a poorer neighborhood....you'll see that most don't vote at all, though all neighborhoods have heavy turnout for a presidential election and increased participation in a mid-term.

Other than that...statistics show that for all that work....the elections that matter most to you and me, the local ones... are probably decided by less than 25% of the voters.

Personally, I vote in every election... and I'll be in there chatting it up with the poll workers, and still no one will come in for a half hour or longer.

All the same....while 62040 is not my zip code...still happy you shared this and hope the voters therewithin will get educated on the issues and participate.

Honestly, these are the elections where votes really can make a difference....and if people actually participate.....then the people we bitch about who are TOO comfortable will suddenly get uncomfortable and work for your vote.
