Got something wonderful to say about the GCPD? No problem. They welcome all the love, praise, and adoration but post something they don't like it's bye bye 1st amendment. They don't want the public to see the bad things the people have to say on their Official Facebook page which constitutes a public forum. As such when police/government officials open up their page for comment they are prohibited from viewpoint discrimination, but that's exactly what happens. Several court cases for doing just that has netted heft judgements against government agencies over the last several years. Will GCPD decide to fall in line with the law or are they Personal Feelings Enforcement officers instead of Law Enforcement Officers? Regardless if you agree with the criticism or not, it sets a dangerous precedent of Prior Restraint and Censorship which should be quite concerning to all.
