Those low density scans are covered by medicare and most insurance plans. Consider the cancer in this post is a stage 4 cancer meaning it has metastasized or spread beyond the lung. Think of the difference if it was caught in its infancy.Those scans are very important and being they are often at no cost there is no excuse not to have one. I had one of the scans and there is a nodule in one of my lungs. Because of that insurance covered a full body PET scan that thankfully turned out negative. The issue however is that the nodule could become cancerous in the future meaning an annul scan is important to me. Like my posts or not is one thing. Those scans are another and if you fit the criteria..go get one!
