It's obvious from your remarks on this topic, you have zero first hand knowledge or experience in buying cannabis from a dispensary.

You may want to pay one of the dispensaries a visit and take a look at the prices, then compare those prices to what the "pot dealers on the street" charge. You can buy cannabis off the street from just about anyone who sells it, far cheaper than you can purchase from any dispensary.

Dispensary prices are insanely expensive, but you get what you pay for. First and foremost, peace of mind that what you are paying that premium price for is not laced with dirty drugs or dangerous chemicals.

All of this hysteria and accusations from close minded, uneducated individuals should not come as a surprise, but it still does. Some people are acting like this new law, was more of a discovery of smoking pot, instead the legalization of doing so. People have been actively and routinely smoking cannabis since the 60's, and earlier. Your neighbors, some of your distant family members, our teachers, professionals, people in your church congregation, people classed below poverty level to the wealthiest of the wealthy and all classes in between.

With all the information you could possibly need right at your fingertips, there is no excuse for this ignorance. Do a little research and educate yourself, before passing judgement on something that apparently you do not understand.

There are many reasons for using cannabis and cannabis related products. There are several cannabis products that have zero mind altering compounds, that do not get you high. People who suffer with arthritis and inflammation often use patches and salves and oils that do not get you high. Parkinson patients can calm their tremors, people who suffer with seizures can become seizure free, people diagnosed with glaucoma can slow the progression of this disease and save their eye sight. There are so many different reasons that someone may decide to use cannabis from depression to treating anxiety and ptsd.

Lastly, the legalization of this plant can give cancer patients another tool to fight their cancer and reduce tumor sizes and in some cases destroy their cancer completely.

Are there people standing in long dispensary lines simply because they want to "smoke pot" just to get high, you bet there are, just like there are people who like to drink an alcoholic beverage because they like the effects it has on them.

We would all be far better off if we would just mind our own, be responsible adults and live and let live. It's 2020 and the studies have been done, the research and results are available for anyone interested, and I promise you, nobody is going to start jumping off roof tops and bridges thinking they can fly as a result of this new law.
