I agree to a degree, but once sports figures start yapping to the media they dont get a free shield to hide behind at that point whether it be the purple headed soccer player, Mariano or whomever. These sports figures opinions dont mean any more than the Hollywood nitwits or Joe the Plumbers do. If Rapinoe had been trashing Obama she would not have been a media darling and she would have been attacked a hell of a lot worse than she was. All she did for me was to make me care even less about the womans final game than i already did, which wasnt easy.
