While the Blues may well be on the verge of something big, the Cardinals are one game out of last place. One of the local sports guys on 101 FM said when the Cardinals were 20 and 10 that they would not relinquish first place for the rest of the season. I bet that is one prediction that he would like to have back. Carpenter has sucked, Goldy has been just ok, and the pitching has been pretty shakey for the most part. After a real solid start, Dejong cant buy a hit and Wong has been horrible since the first week. I have Molina, Dejong and Carpenter on various phantasy league teams, as well as Mikolas and Faherty, and to this point as a group they have only been so so. Im not really sure what this team is missing, but they better figure it out damn fast before they are 15 games out. I have been missing John Rooneys excuses, im sure they are some doozies. That guy is without a doubt the biggest homer announcer in baseball. Shannon sounds disinterested anymore but at least he makes an effort to be truthful.
