If I graduated from GCHS, do you think I came from wealth either?
Back when it was still semi-affordable, I went to the local State University while working my way through.
So I have to come from wealth to go to college without an athletic scholarship? Sorry, I couldn't have made the HS teams...let alone college teams. My God-given gifts were in other areas, and I'd like to think I developed them pretty well.
No... I really EARNED that degree...and the means that paid for it.

Again, there is no way of getting around the argument, especially when referencing nations that Surpass the USA in education standards.
All you're really fighting for is a tradition started in the early 1900's and enabling a multi-billion dollar industry to take advantage of your tax dollars....and advocating for education dollars to be wasted on pursuits that have nothing to do with education.
