They know they have nothing, but if they decide not to come to the hearing, they will then use this to claim Republicans put on the court a woman abuser. Also, even if they dont go forward, they my have done just enough to sway 2 or 3 Senators that are on the fence. Maybe they are tired of the threats and will use this as an excuse to cave now. This has nothing to do with this woman the Democrats have dug up and how so so concerned they are about her, this is about stopping Trumps nominee. Remember at first she was unnamed then all of a sudden she was full speed ahead, now she seems to be wavering again. What a sham.
