Sooooo, just to review, im seeing that Granite City residents have been paying others districts and counties bills all these years? Well, aint that special? I was on a job yesterday in East St. Louis. when the homeowner finally came out of his home (there were bars on the windows, and doors), and was obviously scared to death. The once mighty town has been reduced to almost rubble, there is hardly no infrastructure at all. The streets have almost been reduced to potholes and gravel. The man said his taxes were "killin" him. he said the corrupt politicians have killed the town, and he sees no end in sight. It was quite the wake up call for me. Im very proud of our town here, ive been chastized for making negative comments, so I wont. But folks we need to support the people, and so far it seems like only a few, who are trying to save us from being taxed to death. Im gonna go lay down, take a nap. Im only working a half day today, 8 hours. Later, ill go pick up aluminium cans to take to the tax man.
