Day 5: Hey all here is the latest on Officer Brousseau. I had the opportunity to visit Lee this morning in the hospital. I will tell you he is in good spirits but still in a ton of pain with surgeries still planed for the near future. He is one of the strongest men I have ever met and one of the kindest. As the nurses were giving him treatments this morning he was just so nice and caring even though he is in so such pain and very uncomfortable due to his injuries. He told me he wants to get back to work! That does not surprise me of this Warrior! He is still very tired and needs as much rest as he can. When we were cleaning out lee's patrol car of his personal belongings I noticed that Lee had a lot of different types of food in his trunk from popcorn to candy bars to just all kinds of stuff he had boxes. What I found out was, that officer Brousseau would keep food in his trunk to hand out to people in the community that we're hungry. What an honorable and kind man. keep praying for Lee and Amy and his children. The amount of prayers is just overwhelming! They are working. This has taken a toll on all of his friends and family and obviously our great communities. The news is suppose to be posting links on my page about the fundraisers that are coming up. Thank you to all that are supporting Lee and his family and our Pontoon Beach Police Department. Thank you to all the police departments involved for all their help.
