Opie2, I send email to friends every morning...and I just did a thread on November 22, 1963 asking all to try and remember where they were at...and what they were doing when they herd of this happening. I did receive some very interesting literature back from these early morning friends back on this issue.
At 75, and as others, time did not stand still for us. I am old enough to remember when this happened...and where I was at the time, and it is/was interesting to read of this mind blowing event through the eyes of others...and too it was a very interesting post and helped me to remember of the life & times of our 35th President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy...and how he was gunned down in or around the city of Dallas Texas, these long years ago. Let us never forget this incident.
Opie2, Thanks for your kind words...and yes we are all fine and expect to be around for many years to come.
On this particular post, I do recall someone remarking....to put these dead-beat-dads to work...and earn this form of a pay check that they live/exist on.
My sisters and husband did live and raise their kids on this and they (the State of Illinois) did make him work this existence off...that is until some smart a#@#@@s S.O.B. felt this was an unthinkable form of punishment for these kids to endure...and they finally concluded that this was unfair to these kids (to make these fathers work off this form of a check)...and they decided this was an unconstitutional act...and then these dead beat dads was handed this government assistance on a Silver Platter. As far as I know...this action has never been appealed or changed????
Too, this has done nothing but to incite their male children to raise their families the same way...it is a never-ending-process...this government and these lawyers or these S.O.B's created for us.
