I'll just keep it to one more sentence.
    Bahahaha, who are you kidding?

The question is who the takers are -- who is praised and who is villified.

Sure, there's corporate welfare like Wal Mart, our very own mill, etc... However, as much as I despise them getting "free" money, they at least provide a service and employment for some.

There's also the single mother trying to do the best she can by working at McDonalds or driving a school bus. I have no problem with her getting help on rent and food to feed her kids.

I'm talking about the fat, lazy welfare kings and queens who don't do anything but reproduce. They spend money on things like cigarettes, booze and drugs before they buy for their kids. They put tattoos all over their bodies instead of a roof over their kid's heads.

I'm talking about the "baby mamas" and their sperm donors who breed like sheep and then want the state to take care of them. Put their lazy asses to work and the more kids they have, the more hours they contribute back to society via one of the work programs mentioned.

If they were even paid a fair and decent wage for the work they try to do --- so much more of that goes back into the economy. Even if they made the $15 an hour that their efforts are truly worth

Where do you guys come up with $15 an hour and is a person worth it just because they need it? Not in my world. No burger flipper deserves more than minimum wage until he works his way up the company ladder. McDonald's has a great promotion program where people can become crew leaders, shift leaders and managers. In other words, incentive for hard work.

[i]The people at the 'top' can afford to invest their vast amounts of wealth and simply live off the interest from the principal.

And why shouldn't they? It's their money. Shouldn't they be entitled to do with it what they want?

The problem of the people at the bottom and their needs will never go away.

No, their problem is for whatever reason they never learned a trade as elroy suggested or never had the initiative to do better. I grew up poor. My family lived pay check to pay check. We lived in a small house that was always clean but not big at all. My dad told me at an early age that he couldn't afford to send me to college. He told me I could learn a trade or work hard and obtain scholarships to get to school. I worked my ass off and paid for college all by myself. I went to grad school with help from no one. I busted suds, laid water pipe and anything else I could do for a buck. I want the people today to work as hard as I did.

    conservative-controlled media

    Good one.

Stay distracted --- America....the Waltons, the Koch's, the Trumps and so many more thank you!

Or get off you lazy asses Americans and build your own empire. You guys always make it sound like being wealthy is a crime.

You know who gives the welfare to corporations? Politicians. Our very own community is solid proof of that. Darlene Laub (God rest her soul) gave the mill tax breaks out the ass and look what they did to us as thanks. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
