When people speak of "clicks" or "conspiracies", I often think, how do these groups happen? If they exist, they are given the power by the people, not by each other.
The games that went on during the election out there prove one thing, the people don't care about smear politics or inept decisions by the board of trustees of the township.
For God's sake, if the petition hearings weren't enough to oust all of the incumbents, it simply comes down they are still more popular with their voting base than those who seek to unseat them.
Hard to explain how it happens. I would have put money down that Horsey would have taken one of those chairs and that Mr. Moore, simply based on the smear campaign ran against him, would have won as well.
Pagano doesn't strike me as an "empire builder" or a major power seeker. My opinion is the man doesn't give a rats ass about politics. He only cares about his residents. I wish he could spread that quality to my two aldermen who neither do anything.
