I certainly agree with you Opie, Helen is being rewarded. On the other hand id bet she knows just as much or more than the person she is replacing, and im sure she cares more than most. Helen is the first and only Democrat i have ever voted for in my life and i may have even not done that if she wasnt running unopposed that first time. Maybe i just have a soft spot for her making me cross the line into hell and vote for a Democrat. During the flood in 2015 by going to the township meetings i learned, "Dont ask us ask the village." Then at the village meeting i learned dont say anything or the board will make you the issue for complaining. Having said that i will admit one attendee did ask the same question and make the same complaint about 25 times. The bottom line at that meeting was we can tweak around the edges a little bit and that may help, but any real fix will cost major money, so that isnt going to happen. In the end every time we get a flood, we are going to hear a lot of b###hing and not much real action to solve the problem, because nobody has an answer that wont break the bank. Well, except for the new Highway Commish, he will probably figure something out.
