You guys have more faith than me. I think less than a third of the voters in these local elections have the slightest idea whats going on. I see people with yard signs of candidates that are opposing each other and no i dont think most of them even know that. To win a candidate has to hope the morons cancel each other out and you do well with the 33.3% Little Jimmy used to play tee ball with that candidates son, deal me in on that fellow. Thats how these podunk elections are decided throughout the country. A candidate like the Pontoon Mayor can extend that 33.3% to closer to 50% because what he does can be monitored better. But even in the best case scenarios how many voters really know what the hell is going on? In prior national elections close to 20% of people asked could not point to the state they live in on a world map. I would say that those that follow this site and and others like it, that read and watch local news have a leg up on the many people that dont care about any of this stuff, because they are knee deep in their own world.
