I read that the Cardinals and Molina are trying to come to terms with a contract deal.

If Molina's demands are met, he will be one of the highest paid Catchers. It seems like his production hasn't fallen tremendously, but how long will it continue?

Do we keep Molina for the Intangibles - the leadership he provides and his mentoring of the 'Cardinal way?'

Or do we treat baseball like a business and find smarter ways to spend the money?

It just makes me wonder what keeping him will do and how it may tie up serious money? I realize it was unfortunate with Pujols....but look at what happened to his production since leaving town?

And I will never be down on Pujols....he should always be looked upon for his role in two World Championships while in town.
