Deaths have happened Countless people have been stuck in a cage for an undetermined amount of time, because they can't afford bond, and "timely manner" as it implies to trial dates, can be years. Trials are never taken to jury, just plead out in what usually amounts to legal fiction. Op, would you yourself, (if you still had the heath and it was legal) kick in your neighbors door, point a gun at him, put in handcuffs, and assuming you find a certain plant, put him in a cage in your basement for an undefined length of time? Thats what police are doing. When you support police doing that, you might as well be doing it yourself. If it were someone beating their wife, it it were some guy molesting a kid, I might not wait for the cops to get there, I might just stop it myself. But thats what cops are for, taking care of situations like, were the law as neutered out ability to step in. Not abusing people (historically political enemies) because of the intoxicant they prefer.
