You said that right Mr. Chris. We in GC take this guy for granted but he is known across the country for his knowledge and success as a wrestling coach. He was every bit as much of a gentleman as he was a good coach. I was honored to call him a friend.
Red and Walt Whitaker put wrestling on the map in Granite City. He truly is a coaching legend. RIP old friend and if you remember, that three- count in heaven is going to be a little longer than it was here.
