We do have an officer at meetings, ever since the kirkwood council shootings, why take a chance? Only 1 person that I can recall in recent history get a little sideways out of control, but still the police didn't have to get involved.....
Why is it illegal to have a lawyer or police officer (chief) by the mayors side at a polling place? I would think as long as they were 100' from the polling place, they are allowed to talk, it's not a quorum... Just curious, seems like a weird law, but there is plenty of those laws too....
Don't know much about the old township days, but it sounds like the old pontoon days of fighting and stuff....
