Go to the extensions tab and download an adblocker. I dont get popups and most of those annoying flash ads dont come up. There are a few sites where they do load but not many. Also, if you find all of your systems are running slow, power cycle your modem and router. Unplug both, plug in just the modem (usually cisco, arris, motorola) and let the power, dl, ul and online lights come on and then plug in your router and let that come all the way up. Works to speed you back up most of the time.
