The park hours are carefully planned and thought out. The short hours are NOT a staffing or budget issue. It is what they think is a sneaky and sly undetected method they have devised to "rent" the pool out for "private" events. I'm sure you would not be surprised to read the names that book these private affairs. Anyone want to place any bets on whether or not the pool rental fees are discounted for park district employees or park board members? Or, how about if there is a limit on the amount of times these same people mentioned can rent the pool per season?
It's just another one of those little "perks" for the connected, you know, kind of like the secret Easter Egg Hunt that was not advertised for ALL the children of Granite City to attend.
