Geez, you people are really hung up on Briggs. The man is history. He got paid a lot of money by the standard of some. Compared to a guy like Hightower, Briggs got screwed to the wall. Teachers get paid well here too. Their union salaries set the base for all other salaries in the district. They work nine months so automatically someone working twelve should make twenty five per cent more. I'll ask you all a question. If you were superintendent of schools and were making $150k a year, would you forfeit any of it in expectations the union would give back as well? If you do, you're a fool. NO way any union ever gives back what they worked for. But go ahead and vote no. When schools fail your property values will decline further than they already have. You'll either keep your home until it runs down in value that you are forced to sell at a loss or you'll stay here until the rabble take over. Either way, you lose.
