Thanks for the info Opie, We have chose to send our daughter private school. There is nothing wrong, IMHO, with gcsd. I think there is a great education available. I was doing the math on my house. Valued at $150,000 / 1000= 150x .80= $120/year or 12/month. Over the past several years, with assessments being lowered, because of the drop in value. I have paid less in annually. I would vote yes to this referendum to keep our schools solvent. The public school system is the back bone of our community. And the rant on the high cost of salarys, it will have to be higher than the average salary, these teachers have minimum 4 year college degrees and many have more college credits. The average wage earner in the US doesn't have a degree, at least not yet...
