Had a real frustrating time with these people in Maryville this morning. I went to the Labcorp office to get some blood tests, and handed this person who was supposed to draw my blood my paperwork from my Dr's office. Right away, this phlebotomist (sp) wants to see my medicare card and my secondary insurance card even though all the pertinent info was already on what I handed her. Then this person spends the next ten minutes typing stuff into a laptop-hey, lady, I'm here for a blood test!! She says some ignorant thing about how this is necessary-gee, lady, my Dr wants a blood test, not more paperwork to read! I then get a piece of paper that requires my signature on it, plus a choice of how I want to be billed, should my medical insurance not cover for it. This piece of paper further informs me I could be liable for charges up to $66 if my insurance can't (or won't) cover for it. I'm already paying out $25 per month for medical insurance so that I CAN be covered. This was when I blew my cool and walked out of the place. I believe Labcorp was just playing games with me and wanted revenue regardless of how well a person is covered. I'm coming to the conclusion that Obamacare is not worth it, we should go back to the drawing board. Since I now live on a limited/fixed income, the last thing I need is another godxxxx bill. I hope all who reads this take heed, this obamacare mess is not working on behalf of the populace.
