Well Hi Snowball, it is very good hearing from you again.
No, we have not moved, we still live on Edwards St in town. This is my mom's house and the same house that I grew up in when we all went to Stallings...Central...Coolidge...and Granite City High School together.
My mom was placed in a nursing home...so we are selling all of her furniture...kitchen and utility room items... and misc stuff. The proceeds will be placed toward her funeral expenses at Erwin Funeral Home in GC.
My Mom did have life insurance...but (by Illinois state rules) she is only allowed a certain amount of money...and since these policies was considered as income...these policies had to be converted to cash. We received the checks and now the checks will be taken to Erwins and place toward mom's pre-burial-expenses. This leaves us with the task of raising the ballance of the finances for when the time is at hand for her to be with my dad again.
Tho dad died in 1991, mom still misses him and I am sure she looks forward to the day when they are together again.
