Correct me if I am wrong, but the way I read this article Edwardsville is on financial watch list (lowest rate or warning) ....Granite City is rated financial early warning (second to the lowest rate).
I do believe most Illinois school districts are having financial problems due mostly to the lack of state funding.
This is why those of us that are paying taxes to the school district must do what we can to make sure all money is being spent wisely...the last thing that should be cut is money spent to educate our children...We need to cut other thing first...and only cut programs when there are no other options...This could be the case and an audit would show that.
