Apparently Granite City is by far not the only district struggling financially. It appears Edwardsville has a lower state approved ranking than Granite City when it comes to finance. I wonder if their teachers are seeking an audit. Of course they just borrowed nine million a couple of weeks ago.
I would hope that in fairness to the taxpayers items such as this article are presented next Tuesday night at the St. Gregory forum.
See, it's not about staging for negotiations or trying to make either side look bad. It's about figuring out a way to make this state induced problem go away.
I feel for you younger folks out there who are trying to figure out what to do with your futures. Hell, my kids will someday sell my house and split the profits. Illinois leaders must get their head out of their rear ends and fix their mess. Don't build a library for Obama or any other President until you can fill a school library with books for my grandkids.
