All 3 of my kids came out of Granite ready for college...2 of them were in Honors classes throughout high school. My kids worked their butts off with homework and studies and in addition they kept busy in non school related sports and activities. We as parents paid attention to what was going on at school and listened to our kids when something questionable occurred. Parents who play an active role with their kids and who follow up with them on what's going on with their studies and other activities will be prepared. The emphasis to kids should be that school is what they do and its very important whether they understand or not yet. It all begins in the home and if the support is not at home for kids, most will not be ready for college. Its called full time parenting.
