Operator: What I do remember about Lakeside Airport was the dirt landing strip surrounded by farm fields.
I think the Lakeside Airport owners name was Nichols.
Each summer they would offer rides on vintage aircraft i.e. the Ford Trimotor first produced in 1925.

Sometime in the 1990's it was rumored a real estate developer was interested in purchasing the ground, however the owner (Madison County Transit) was not willing to sell.
