AH, Sleuth, now I remember what I had forgot that I was going to comment on. Here it is. I wonder how many of us older farts, remember the Lake Side Airport, recently read something on it, seems that during the WW2 i think it was, the Army trained new Pilots how to fly out there. I do remember two run ways a few hangers and a few planes there, Had a couple buddies who took flying lessons there while I was in the service. Also remember the news, etc, when the owner was getting taxed for a air port and runways that were not in use, so he plowed both runways under, and farmed them to get lower taxes on his property. Other wise we might have still had a small place to learn to fly a small plane.
