Bob, I am not bottling my water and trying to sell it. As I stated earlier, I am not a big fan of all the red tape and guidelines or "hoops you have to jump through" in order to sell baked goods.
But, there has to be a certain amount of rules in place that everyone no matter their age should have to follow. I never once said that disgusting acts or less than sanitary conditions do not take place in the restaurant or fast food industry, so I have no idea where that is coming from.
What I will say is, I think it would happen far more often in the privacy of a residential home/kitchen being used by an eleven year old CHILD.
I wonder what your opinion on this subject would be if you or a loved one bought and ate a batch of these cup cakes and later became seriously ill or even died from food poisoning that was traced back and linked to the cup cakes.
I would bet you would be screaming your guts out demanding some kind of regulations, yes that dirty little word "regulations" put in place in an attempt to never let something like that happen again. I also think it would be a safe bet that you would be hiring a lawyer wanting to sue this child/her parents.
"What is wrong with a fundraiser as long as they are not misrepresenting?"
Absolutely nothing. I just think it is a bit obvious that the fundraiser was well thought out and planned knowing full well what the consequences were going be when all of this went public.
I just believe there are far more important causes to support.
