What cracked me up is calling this eleven year old kid an "innovator". And raising the amount needed to purchase a stainless steel table, a separate hand sink, a refrigerator thermometer, proper dishwashing sanitizer test strips, sealed ingredient containers and a proper cabinet for storage....yeah, I can see that. And NO, a commercial grade oven is not required. But one of her parents is going to have to take and pass the food service course, and be on site, every single minute she's finger painting with that cake batter or coughing and sneezing into it after picking one of her scabs bloody, or she'll be in violation. The conspiracy theory, anti-government, power to the people, rage against the machine comments rip me up considering all it takes is a "poor little, butter wouldn't melt in her mouth eleven year old, just trying to exercise her passion of baking cupcakes and the mean ol' health department won't let me" crap sob story has you weak in the knees and lapping up the ilk her conniving mother is feeding to the media. Let her bake, let her sell (in spite of any head lice or Rotovirus outbreaks in her school), just do it by the rules. She shouldn't get any special pass because she's a kid. Just that simple. Waiting for the next "let's take it to a new level" in the fund raising scam.
