Yeah...you bring up an interesting point. I've always wondered as prosperous as Granite was when it was growing and in the heyday with all the industry, didn't the city get revenue from or at least because of these industries? Why there were no overpasses or underpasses built at any of the rail crossings until...what...around 1960 when 270 was built (not even in the city, but at least a way out without a rail crossing...and at that a federal/state funded project not even involving funding from G.C.)?
