As with virtually everything government gets its hands on, public (government) education is dumbed down now. 30 years ago a child was allowed to retaliate against a bully. Now the victim gets into at least as much trouble as the aggressor. Instead, the child is told to go to one of many useless (and EXTREMELY overpaid) administration officials. That is the big problem now. Like I have said before, the 3 problems with public (government) education now is 1) parents 2) administrations 3) politicians. I look forward to the day that public (government) education fails and goes under. Only then will the system 'reboot' itself.
